Introduction of “Khat learning" is a ruse of
"boiling the frog in warm water",
Abandon your illusions, stop Mahathirism from
wrecking the country and ruining the people!
1. Although Maszlee and other officials have put forward various rhetoric or reasons, and although some royalist leaders and their tacticians have tried to whitewash or mislead in order to protect their vested interest or power, increasing number of the people (mainly from the non-Malay communities) have seen through that the introduction of Khat learning in SJKC and SJKT is a new educational ploy, a “boiling the frog with warm water” intrigue of Mahathir and his tacticians to lull the Chinese and Indian ethnic communities into giving up the will of resistance. Mahathir couldn’t wait to say “the objections were only from a small segment of society” and instructed that “the implementation of Khat will continue”. This once again reveals his overbearing character in consistently insisting the Malay racist hegemonic rule while implementing “forced assimilation” on other ethnic communities.
2. Some Democratic Action Party (DAP) state assemblypersons, leaders of DAP youth and DAP grassroots leaders and over 200 DAP branches issued a joint statement calling on the Ministers the DAP to request the Ministry of Education to abort the introduction Khat in SJKC and SJKT. This action does not only reflect the expectations and supervision of the grassroots leaders, cadres and members of the DAP on the top leaders, especially those senior leaders who hold office as minister or deputy minister, but also represent the aspirations and demands of the broad masses and the community leaders of the Chinese and Indian ethnic groups. This is undoubtedly a just action to promote democratic reforms of our country and in line with the interests of all ethnic groups, hence it shall draw nationwide attention and support of people of all ethnic communities from all walks of life.
3. Hitler said "To destroy a nation, first disintegrate its culture; to disintegrate its culture, first eliminate the language that carries it; to destroy this language, first start from their school." This explains the real reason why Mahathir, an overbearing and ambitious Malay racist politician, still wanted to cum the Education Minister after he becomes the Prime Minister of the country. This is the real reason why Maszlee, who acts under the command of Mahathir, actively promotes Khat learning now. Therefore, the people of all ethnic groups, especially the community leaders and broad masses of the Chinese and Indian communities should put aside any prejudice and unite, abandon the illusions about Mahathir, stop Mahathirism from wrecking the country and ruining the people!
